STAR 2025 Bootcamp

The inaugural Wisconsin Center for Origins Research Summer Training in Astrobiology Research (STAR) 2025 Bootcamp is designed to provide an interdisciplinary introduction to the major research areas in Astrobiology and Origins Research. This week-long course will feature lectures from leading scientists on Astronomy, Atmospheric and Oceanic Science, Bacteriology, Botany, Chemistry and Geoscience, see the full list of topics and lectures below! Course content will be aimed at early-stage graduate students or upper-level undergraduate students from any of these disciplines.

Dates: August 18-22, 2025
Time: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Schedule: 90 minute lectures, a 90 minute lunch, a 30 min break at 10 am, and a 30 min break at 3:00 pm
Location: University of Wisconsin-Madison Campus

Fee: $140/participant – this will cover materials and lunch + snacks throughout the week
