How to Join WiCOR
- Become a graduate student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. You can learn more about how to become a graduate student below.
- Most often, but not always, WiCOR graduate students conduct research within the lab of a faculty member at UW-Madison who is a WiCOR Member. However, any graduate student in a WiCOR Member Department can join WiCOR directly, regardless of advisor.

Get Involved
WiCOR Events
Attend WiCOR Events throughout the semester. We have multiple WiCOR Seminars, a WiCOR Lecture each semester, outreach events, and other special events.
STAR Bootcamp
WiCOR’s Summer Training in Astrobiology Research (STAR) Bootcamp provides an interdisciplinary introduction to the major research areas in Astrobiology and Origins Research
Promega Scholarship for International WiCOR Graduate Research
Provided through a grant from the Promega Corporation, this scholarship generously supports WiCOR graduate students to undertake a summer research project at an international university, institute, or research facility that will enhance or expand the student’s thesis work.
